Biosecurity Act 1993

Miscellaneous provisions

163: Protection of inspectors and others

You could also call this:

"Inspectors and people with special powers are protected from legal trouble when doing their job honestly"

If you are an inspector or someone who has special powers under the Biosecurity Act 1993, you are protected from being sued or in trouble with the law. This protection applies when you do something or don't do something as part of your job, as long as you are not acting in bad faith or without a good reason. You can find more information about the Biosecurity Act 1993 and the Biosecurity Law Reform Act 2012 on the New Zealand legislation website, but generally, this means you are safe from legal trouble if you are doing your job honestly and with good intentions.
