If you give information to the Director-General, the Ministry, or an official for a purpose under the Biosecurity Act 1993, and that information becomes incorrect or misleading after you supply it, you need to update it. You must do this before a deadline set by the Act, and before you are told about any decision made based on the information you gave. If you know, or should know, that the information is incorrect or misleading, and you do not take reasonable steps to update it as soon as possible, you are committing an offence under this Act.
