Biosecurity Act 1993

Administrative provisions - Biosecurity database

142D: Person may require Director-General not to access, use, or disclose information

You could also call this:

"You can ask to keep your personal info private from the biosecurity database."

If your information is in the biosecurity database, you can ask the Director-General not to access, use, or disclose certain information about you. This includes your name, postal address, and other personal contact details. You can ask them not to use this information.

You must make this request in writing, but you do not have to give a reason for your request. The Director-General must then comply with your request.

You can later change your mind and tell the Director-General that you withdraw your request, which means you are allowing them to access, use, or disclose the information again.
