Biosecurity Act 1993

Importation of risk goods - Inspections, declarations, etc

40E: Notice requirements

You could also call this:

"When the government stops something you're allowed to do, they must tell you in writing why and what to do next."

If the Director-General stops an approval under section 40D(1), they must give you written notice. You will get this notice before the stop takes effect. The notice will tell you why the approval was stopped, how long it will be stopped, when it will start, and what you need to do to get it back.

If the Director-General decides to extend the stop, they must give you another written notice. You will get this notice before the original stop ends. This notice will tell you why the stop is being extended, how long the extension will be, when it will start, and what you need to do to get the approval back.
