Biosecurity Act 1993

Administrative provisions - Incorporation by reference

142O: Effect of amendments to, or replacement of, material incorporated

You could also call this:

"What happens when information in a biosecurity document is changed or replaced"

If you change or replace information that is part of a biosecurity document, it only becomes official if the people in charge publish a notice. They can publish this notice in the Gazette, which is like a special newspaper, and it must say that the new information is now part of the document. It also needs to say when the new information starts being official.

If the biosecurity document already says that this rule does not apply, then you do not have to follow it. You also do not have to follow this rule for certain types of information, which are described in section 142M(1)(e) to (g). This means that some changes might be official without the people in charge publishing a notice.
