Animal Products Act 1999

Risk management programmes

14: Director-General may grant limited exemption from requirement to have risk management programme

You could also call this:

"The boss can excuse you from some rules about keeping people and animals safe, for a little while."

The Director-General can let you off having a risk management programme, but only a little bit. You might not have to follow all the rules, or you might not have to follow them for a certain amount of time. The Director-General will decide this and tell you in a notice, which can be done under section 167(1).

The Director-General will only do this if they think it will not hurt people or animals. They can also say you have to follow certain conditions.

The Director-General can make this decision look back in time, which means it can start before they actually made the decision.
