The object of this Act is to help you understand how to keep people and animals healthy. This is done by making sure animal products are safe to use. The Act also helps New Zealand animal products get into other countries by having rules in place to ensure they are safe. You need to know the Act has two main goals: to keep you and animals safe from harm, and to help New Zealand trade animal products with other countries. The Act does this by making sure animal products are safe to use and by having rules to follow when trading with other countries.
