Animal Products Act 1999

Offences, penalties, and proceedings - Offences

143: Liability of directors and managers of companies

You could also call this:

"Company bosses can get in trouble if their company breaks the rules"

If a company breaks a rule in the Animal Products Act 1999, you can be guilty of the same offence if you are a director or manager of the company. This happens if the company did something wrong with your permission or because you said it was okay. You can also be guilty if you knew the company was going to break a rule or was already breaking one, and you did not try to stop it.
