Animal Products Act 1999

Officers, powers, etc - General provisions

98: Protection of persons acting under authority of Act, etc

You could also call this:

"People doing their job under this law are protected from getting in trouble unfairly."

If you are an animal product officer, official assessor, or a recognised person employed under the Public Service Act 2020, you are protected by law. You will not be in trouble for doing something or not doing something as part of your job, unless you do it on purpose or without a good reason. This means you can do your job without worrying about getting in trouble, as long as you are acting in good faith and with reasonable cause.
