Animal Products Act 1999

Recognised agencies, persons, and classes of persons - Recognition of agencies, persons, and classes of persons

104: Recognition of certain persons without application

You could also call this:

"Some people can be approved to do certain jobs without having to ask."

The Director-General can recognise certain people to do specific jobs without getting an application under section 103(1). You might be recognised if you are an officer or employee of the Ministry. You might also be recognised if you are an officer or employee of a department, as defined in section 5 of the Public Service Act 2020. The rules in section 103(2) and (3) also apply to people recognised under this section. This means the same rules that apply to people who apply to be recognised also apply to people who are recognised without applying.
