Animal Products Act 1999

Recognised agencies, persons, and classes of persons - Recognition process

108: Director-General may require further information

You could also call this:

"The boss can ask for more details when you apply for something, and you must give them the information they need."

The Director-General can ask you for more information when you apply for recognition. You need to give the Director-General this information before they decide whether to grant you recognition. The Director-General will tell you what information they need.

If you do not give the Director-General the information they ask for, your application will lapse. This means your application will be cancelled if you do not give the information within three months of the Director-General asking for it. However, the Director-General can give you more time to provide the information if they want to.

The Director-General will let you know in writing if they give you more time to provide the information. You can find more information about changes to this rule in section 10 of the Animal Products Amendment Act 2012.
