Animal Products Act 1999

General obligations - Record keeping and reporting

77G: Record-keeping and reporting requirements

You could also call this:

"Keep and share animal product information as required by law"

If you are a regulated person, recognised person, or recognised agency, you must collect the required information. You have to keep that information in the required manner and for the required period. You must also give that information to the Director-General, an animal product officer, or an official assessor when they ask for it, and to any other person as required.

When you give information, it means you let people access it, inspect it, or make copies of it. The information you collect and keep must be what is required by the Animal Products Act, the regulations, or a notice. The term "required" refers to what is needed by the Act, regulations, or a notice, including a notice referred to in section 77H(2).

You need to follow these rules to keep and share information correctly.
