Animal Products Act 1999

Regulated control schemes

37: Object of this Part

You could also call this:

"This part of the law is about special rules to keep animal products safe when normal rules aren't enough."

The object of this part of the law is to provide for regulated control schemes. These schemes are special rules to manage cases where it is not suitable or practical to control risk factors under normal risk management programmes. You might need these schemes when producing animal material or processing animal products that do not require a registered risk management programme, or when special rules are needed to meet overseas market requirements.
