Animal Products Act 1999

Offences, penalties, and proceedings - Offences

130: Offence to export unless registered

You could also call this:

"You must register before exporting animal products or you might get a big fine."

If you export animal material or products, you must be registered to do so. You commit an offence if you export these products without being registered, unless you have an exemption under section 9 or section 50, or as allowed by the regulations or a supplementary notice, which applies to products covered by Part 5.

If you break this rule, you can be fined: if you are a company, the fine can be up to $300,000, and if you are an individual, the fine can be up to $50,000.

You will only be fined if you are convicted of the offence.
