157Rules of court

  1. In addition to all other powers conferred by the District Court Act 2016, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, make rules—

  2. regulating the practice and procedure of the District Court in proceedings under this Act that relate to compliance orders:
    1. providing for such matters as are contemplated by or necessary for giving full effect to the provisions of this Act that relate to compliance orders.
      1. Rules under subsection (1)(b) are secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).

      2. As to rules referred to in subsection (1)(a), see section 228 of the District Court Act 2016, which provides that court rules are secondary legislation.
