Animal Products Act 1999

Recognised agencies, persons, and classes of persons - Surrender of recognition

112Q: Surrender of recognition

You could also call this:

"Giving up your official approval as an animal product agency or person"

If you are a recognised agency or person, you can give up your recognition by sending a written notice to the Director-General. You need to say in the notice when you want the surrender to take effect. You can choose a date in the future for this to happen. You must do a few things before the surrender date. If you are a recognised agency, you must tell any recognised persons you are responsible for that you are surrendering your recognition, and if you are a recognised person, you must tell the recognised agency responsible for you.
