Animal Products Act 1999

Recognised agencies, persons, and classes of persons - Public register of recognised agencies, recognised persons, and recognised classes

112V: Removal from public register

You could also call this:

"When a group or person's approval to work with animals ends, they are removed from the public list."

The Director-General must remove a recognised agency, person, or class from the public register as soon as possible if their recognition period ends and is not extended under section 112C(3)(b). You can find more information about this in the relevant sections of the Act. If the recognition is withdrawn under section 112N or section 112O, or surrendered under section 112Q, the Director-General must take action.

The Director-General must record the withdrawal or surrender and the date it takes effect, and then remove the agency, person, or class from the public register. This happens as soon as possible after the recognition is withdrawn or surrendered. The Director-General follows the rules set out in the Act, including section 103, when making these decisions.

The public register is updated to reflect these changes, and you can find the relevant information in the Act. The Director-General's actions are guided by the rules and procedures outlined in the legislation, including section 112C(3)(b) and other relevant sections.
