Animal Products Act 1999

Offences, penalties, and proceedings - Infringement offences

125C: Form of infringement notice

You could also call this:

"What an infringement notice must look like and what it must tell you"

If you get an infringement notice, it must be in a special form. The form must tell you what you are supposed to have done wrong, where and when it happened. It must also tell you how much you have to pay and where to pay it.

The notice must give you some important information, like how long you have to pay the fee. You will also be told that you have the right to ask for a hearing or to cancel the notice. The notice will explain what will happen if you do not pay the fee or ask for a hearing or cancellation.

The notice will include a summary of what section 21(10) of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957 says. This is a law that explains how some legal processes work. You can read the law yourself if you want to know more.
