The law used to have a rule about publishing exemptions and reasons for those exemptions. This rule was part of the Electricity Act 1992. However, this rule no longer exists. It was removed on 23 December 2008. The government decided to take it out of the law. When a part of a law is removed, we say it is ‘repealed’. So, this rule about publishing exemptions and reasons was repealed.
