Electricity Act 1992

Administration - Electrical Workers Registration Board

152A: Power of Registrar to delegate

You could also call this:

“The Registrar can let someone else do some of their work”

The Registrar can give some of their jobs and powers to someone who works for the government. This is called delegation. When the Registrar does this, they have to write it down. They can put rules on how the person does the job. The Registrar can also take back the job at any time by writing it down.

The Registrar can’t give away their power to delegate. This means they can’t let someone else choose who gets to do the Registrar’s jobs.

When someone is doing a job for the Registrar, they can do it just like the Registrar would. They have to follow the same rules. The Registrar is still responsible for what the person does, even if they’re doing the job for the Registrar.

If you see someone doing a job for the Registrar, you can assume they’re allowed to do it unless someone proves they’re not.
