Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Electrical worker registration and licensing - Cancellation and suspension

112: Board may cancel registration or licence if obtained wrongfully

You could also call this:

“Board can take away your licence if you weren't honest when you got it”

The Board can cancel your registration, practising licence, or provisional licence if they find out you got it by being dishonest. This means if you lied or misled them when you applied, or if you weren’t actually allowed to get registered or licensed, they can take it away.

Before the Board does this, they have to tell you why they’re thinking about cancelling your registration or licence. They also need to give you a fair chance to explain yourself. You can write to them or speak to them in person, or have someone speak for you.

If the Board decides to cancel your registration or licence, they will make an official order. The Registrar will make sure you get a copy of this order.

The cancellation starts either from the day you get the order, or from a date written in the order, whichever comes later.
