You might be interested to know that there used to be a rule in the Electricity Act 1992 about a report from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Environment. This rule was part of how the electricity industry was run in New Zealand. However, on 1 November 2010, this rule was removed from the law. The Electricity Industry Act 2010 made this change.
