103: Practising licence subject to terms and conditions

You could also call this:

“A practising licence comes with rules you must follow”

When you get a practising licence as a registered person, it comes with certain rules you need to follow. These rules are called terms and conditions. Some of these rules are set by notices that are published for your type of registration. The Board that gives out the licences can also add other rules they think are important.

The rules on your licence might limit what kind of work you can do, or in what situations you can work. They might also set limits on how much you can do or help with certain tasks. These limits could be different from or added to any other limits that usually apply to your type of registration.

If the Board wants to, they can change these rules. They can take away rules, change them, or add new ones. They’ll let you know about any changes by sending you a letter.

Remember, the rules set by the published notices can be changed by the Board or by another part of the law called section 107.
