Electricity Act 1992

Disciplinary provisions - Complaints

144: Complaints

You could also call this:

“How to make complaints about people covered by this law”

You can make a complaint about someone who is covered by this part of the law. To do this, you need to tell the Registrar in the way they’ve asked for complaints to be made. Anyone can make a complaint, even people who work for the government. But the Board, people on the Board, and the Registrar can’t make complaints.

When the Registrar gets a complaint, they need to tell the Secretary and the person the complaint is about. They don’t tell the person all the details, just the main idea of what the complaint is about.

Sometimes, the Registrar might think a complaint isn’t serious or is just trying to cause trouble. If this happens, they don’t have to tell the Secretary or the person complained about. They also don’t have to look into it further. Instead, they’ll tell the person who made the complaint that they won’t be doing anything more with it.
