Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Register of electrical workers

137: Restricting public access to information and documents on register

You could also call this:

“Keeping some information about electrical workers private”

The Registrar can limit what information about electrical workers and employer licences is available to the public. If you ask the Registrar to keep some of your information private, they can do that. This includes things like your contact details or qualifications.

The Registrar must keep certain information private if the rules say so or if the Board tells them to. This might include things like complaints about you or disciplinary actions.

The Board can tell the Registrar to keep information private if they think it’s not needed or not a good idea for everyone to see it.

Remember, these rules are about protecting your privacy while still keeping important information available to the public.
