Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Electrical worker registration and licensing - Classes of registration

88: Board must consult before making notices

You could also call this:

“The Board must ask for opinions before making important rules about electrical workers”

Before the Board makes a notice about classes of registration, they need to talk to certain people and groups. They must ask for opinions from people who can speak for electrical workers registered under this law. They also need to talk to organisations that will be greatly affected by the new notice, or whose members will be greatly affected.

Even if the Board doesn’t follow this rule to talk to people first, the notice they make will still be valid. This means the notice will still work, even if they forgot to ask for opinions.
