Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Register of electrical workers

133: Restoration of registration or licence

You could also call this:

“Getting your electrician's registration or licence back after it was cancelled”

You can get your registration or licence restored if it was cancelled before. Here’s how it works:

If your registration or licence was cancelled because you didn’t pay your fees or didn’t apply to renew it in time, you can ask to have it restored. You need to write to the Registrar and ask them to put your information back in the register.

The Registrar will restore your registration or licence unless:

You’re not allowed to be registered or have that licence anymore.

You’re in trouble and there’s an investigation happening about your work.

You’ve been told by the authorities that you can’t work for a while.

Remember, this only applies if your registration or licence was cancelled for specific reasons. If it was cancelled for other reasons, this might not apply to you.
