Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Electrical worker registration and licensing - How to become registered

95: Board to consider application

You could also call this:

“The Board checks your application to become a registered electrician”

When you apply to become registered, the Board must look at your application as soon as they can. The Board has some rules they need to follow when they consider your application.

If you have had your registration or practising licence cancelled before, the Board will think about why that happened. They have to be fair when they look at your application. This means they must tell you if there’s anything that might make them say no to your application. They also have to give you a chance to explain your side of the story before they make a decision.
