When deciding on rules for registering and licensing electrical workers, the Board must follow some important guidelines. These guidelines are there to make sure the rules are fair and helpful.

The Board needs to make sure that any rules they create are necessary for keeping people safe, stopping property from being damaged, or making sure electrical workers are good at their jobs. The rules can also include things that are needed to support these main goals.

The Board must be careful not to make rules that would stop people from becoming registered or licensed as electrical workers without a good reason. They also need to make sure the rules don’t cost too much for electrical workers or for you and other members of the public.

These guidelines help the Board balance making sure electrical work is safe and well-done, while also making it possible for people to become electrical workers without facing unnecessary barriers or costs.
