Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Employer licences

121: Board must give employer licence holder reasonable opportunity to be heard

You could also call this:

“Board listens to employer's side before making decisions”

If the Board wants to take any actions mentioned in section 120, they must first follow these steps:

The Board needs to tell the employer licence holder why they might take these actions. They have to explain the reasons clearly.

After explaining the reasons, the Board must give the employer licence holder a fair chance to respond. The employer licence holder can write a response or speak to the Board about it. They can do this themselves or have someone else speak for them.

The Board can’t take any actions until they’ve done these two things. This rule makes sure the employer licence holder has a chance to defend themselves before any decisions are made.
