Electricity Act 1992

Disciplinary provisions - Exercise of disciplinary powers

147N: Costs and expenses

You could also call this:

“The Board can make someone pay for the costs of investigating and hearing a complaint against them”

If someone has been disciplined under section 147M, the Board can tell them to pay money to cover the costs of the complaint. This includes the costs of:

  1. Looking into the complaint
  2. Bringing the complaint forward
  3. The Board’s hearing

The Board decides how much the person should pay. They will choose an amount they think is fair and reasonable.
