This law changes the Sale of Liquor Act 1989. You can find the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 on the New Zealand legislation website. It updates who can make decisions about liquor sales. The law also updates how applications are made. An issuing officer, as defined in the Search and Surveillance Act 2012, makes decisions. They consider applications made by a constable. Some parts of the old law are removed. New rules from the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 are used instead. You can find these rules in Part 4 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012.
