When a record of pathway information is produced, a constable can take copies of it. You might be asked to help reproduce the information in a usable form. The constable can also ask for related information to understand the pathway information. A constable can send the record, copies of it, or the reproduced information to the foreign authority that requested it. They can also send related information that helps understand the pathway information. This is done when a record of pathway information is produced under a preservation direction. 88SPathway information produced under preservation direction

  1. When a record of pathway information is produced in compliance with a preservation direction, a constable may do any of the following:

  2. take copies of the record:
    1. if necessary, require the person producing the record—
      1. to reproduce, in usable form, the pathway information that is in that record; or
        1. to assist any person nominated by the Commissioner or a delegate of the Commissioner to reproduce, in usable form, the pathway information that is in that record:
        2. require the person producing the record to provide any related information (for example, the names of any telecommunications service providers involved in transmitting the telecommunication) that is necessary to understand the pathway information:
          1. send to the foreign enforcement authority that requested the preservation direction—
            1. the record; or
              1. copies of the record; or
                1. the pathway information in a reproduced and usable form; or
                  1. the related information (if any) that is necessary to understand the pathway information.
