294Amendments to Radiation Protection Act 1965

  1. This section amends the Radiation Protection Act 1965.

  2. Section 24(2) is amended by—

  3. omitting If a Justice of the Peace or Community Magistrate is satisfied on oath and substituting If an issuing officer (within the meaning of section 3 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012) is satisfied on an application made in the manner provided in subpart 3 of Part 4 of that Act; and
    1. omitting Justice or Community Magistrate and substituting issuing officer; and
      1. omitting , if necessary by force.
        1. Section 24 is amended by repealing subsection (3) and substituting the following subsections:

        2. The provisions of Part 4 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 apply.

        3. Despite subsection (3), sections 118 and 119 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 apply only in respect of a constable.
