Some rules from the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 will now apply to certain situations. You can find these rules in Part 4 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012, but not in subpart 3. These rules will help with the power to do certain things.

There are some exceptions to these rules, though. You should look at sections 125(4), 131(5)(f), and 133, and subparts 6 and 8 of Part 4 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 to see what they are. These exceptions are about goods that have been forfeited to the Crown under section 225 of this Act.

The law is also changing some specific parts of the Customs and Excise Act 1996, like section 140(2) and section 141. You can find the new versions of these parts by looking at the changes to the law. The changes will help make the law clearer and easier to follow.
