This section changes the Pork Industry Board Act 1997. You can find the Pork Industry Board Act 1997 on the New Zealand legislation website. It updates some parts of the Act to match the Search and Surveillance Act 2012.

Some parts of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 now apply to the Pork Industry Board Act 1997. You can find the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 on the New Zealand legislation website. This means some rules about searching and surveillance are the same for both Acts.

The Act also changes who can make decisions about searches. Now, an issuing officer makes these decisions, not a District Court Judge or a court Registrar. An issuing officer is someone who is allowed to make these decisions under the Search and Surveillance Act 2012.

Some parts of the Pork Industry Board Act 1997 are no longer needed. These parts, including sections 46 and 47 and Schedule 3, are removed from the Act.
