This law changes the Anti-Personnel Mines Prohibition Act 1998. You can find the Anti-Personnel Mines Prohibition Act 1998 on the New Zealand legislation website. It updates who can make decisions about applications. The law replaces some words in section 22 of the Anti-Personnel Mines Prohibition Act 1998. It now says an issuing officer can make decisions, not a District Court Judge or Justice. The issuing officer must follow the rules in the Search and Surveillance Act 2012. The law also removes some parts of section 22. It removes paragraph b in subsection 2 and subsection 4. It adds a new subsection 4 that says some parts of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 apply. You can find the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 on the New Zealand legislation website.
