Police powers - Examination orders - Other provisions that apply to examination order applications

37: Other provisions that apply to examination order applications

You could also call this:

"Extra rules to follow when asking for an examination order"

When you apply for an examination order, some other rules apply. These rules are like the ones for search warrants, but with some changes. Any references to a search warrant are treated as if they were references to an examination order, and any references to an issuing officer are treated as if they were references to a Judge.

You need to follow the rules in sections like section 98(2), which is about giving more information, and section 99, which is about verifying your application. You also need to follow the rules in section 100(1), (2), and (4), which is about how you apply, and section 101, which is about keeping documents.

These rules apply as if any references to the District Court were references to either the District Court or the High Court, depending on the situation.
