88YFalse application for preservation direction or renewal

  1. A person commits an offence if—

  2. they apply for a preservation direction or for renewal of a preservation direction; and
    1. the application contains any assertion or other statement that they know is false.
      1. A person who commits an offence against this section is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 1 year.
