This law changes the Weights and Measures Act 1987. You can find the Weights and Measures Act 1987 on the New Zealand legislation website. It updates some rules to match the Search and Surveillance Act 2012. It changes who can make certain decisions. Now, an issuing officer can make these decisions if they get a proper application. You can find out what an issuing officer is by looking at the Search and Surveillance Act 2012. It also adds new rules to section 28 of the Weights and Measures Act 1987. These new rules say that some parts of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 now apply to the Weights and Measures Act 1987. You can find these parts in subparts 1, 3, 7, 9, and 10 of Part 4 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012.
