"Changes to the Weights and Measures Act 1987 to update rules and decision-making processes"

This section changes the Weights and Measures Act 1987. You can find the Weights and Measures Act 1987 on the New Zealand legislation website. The changes affect how some things are done under this Act, like who can make certain decisions and how they are made.

The changes include replacing some words with new ones, like changing who can make an application. An issuing officer, as defined in the Search and Surveillance Act 2012, can now make an application in a certain way.

Some parts of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 now also apply to the Weights and Measures Act 1987, including parts about searches and surveillance.
