You have some protection if you are getting or following a preservation direction. This protection is like the protection you have when you are getting or following a search warrant, as stated in section 165. Other rules, like sections 167 and 168, also apply to preservation directions, and they work in a similar way to how they work with search warrants, using section 165 as a guide.
