Search and Surveillance Act 2012

General provisions in relation to search, surveillance, and inspection powers - Carrying out search powers

111: Remote access search of thing authorised by warrant

You could also call this:

"Searching something remotely with a special warrant"

If you have a search warrant that lets you do a remote access search, you can use reasonable measures to get into the thing you need to search. You can do this to find what you are looking for. If you find something that is not physical, like a file on a computer, and it is what you are searching for or you are allowed to take it, you can copy it.
