You must carry an international fishing permit on your vessel if you are taking or transporting fish, aquatic life, or seaweed under that permit. You need to have the permit or a copy of it on board at all times. You must show the permit to a fishery officer or inspector if they ask to see it. If you do not follow this rule, you can get in trouble and have to pay a penalty, which is explained in section 252(5). You are responsible for making sure you follow the rules when you have an international fishing permit.
