If you get an infringement notice, it must include certain information. You need to know what the alleged offence is, where and when it happened. The notice must also tell you how much you have to pay. The notice must say how to pay the fee and when it is due. It must include a summary of the provisions of section 21(10) of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957. You have the right to request a hearing, and the notice must tell you this. The notice must also say what will happen if you do not pay or request a hearing. There may be different types of infringement notices for different kinds of offences. Every infringement offence reminder notice must have the same information as the infringement notice.
