When you make an application or request under the Fisheries Act 1996, you must follow some rules. You need to use the approved form, if there is one, and provide the evidence or information that the form asks for. You also need to pay the prescribed fee or charge, if there is one. The person in charge, called the chief executive, can choose to accept your application or request even if you do not follow these rules. If you want to register an aquaculture agreement under section 186ZH or section 186ZM, this is treated as a request and the same rules apply.
