You can find a list of fish in the schedule called 'Stocks whose abundance is highly variable'. This schedule is part of the Fisheries Act 1996, which is a law about fishing in New Zealand. It was empowered by s 13 of the Act. You will see a table with two columns in this schedule. The first column lists the names of fish, and the second column lists the areas where these fish are found. For example, flatfishes are found in all quota management areas. Some of the fish listed are flatfishes, long-finned freshwater eel, red cod, scallop, and short-finned freshwater eel. Each of these fish has a specific area where it is found, such as all quota management areas or specific areas like LFE13 or SFE13.
