Part 6AInternational fishing
Suspension and revocation of international fishing permits
113PEffect of suspension or revocation of permit
Where the chief executive revokes an international fishing permit under section 113N,—
- the international fishing permit is cancelled immediately and ceases to have any effect for the purposes of this Act; and
- the permit holder must ensure that the permit and any copies of the permit are surrendered immediately to the chief executive.
Where the chief executive suspends an international fishing permit under section 113N,—
- the suspension is for the period specified by the chief executive under section 113O(b); and
- the permit does not authorise fishing or transportation; but
- the obligations and conditions to which the permit is subject, or that are imposed by or under this Act in relation to the permit, continue to have effect.
Nothing in this section requires the chief executive to remit or refund any fees, charges, or levies paid or payable by the permit holder for the period from the date of issue of the permit to the date of revocation.
