Civil Aviation Act 1990

Functions, powers, and duties of participants in the civil aviation system

23C: Restrictions on delegations

You could also call this:

"Rules about who can give certain aviation jobs to other people"

You need to know about some rules for giving away jobs in the civil aviation system. These rules are about who can give certain jobs to other people.

The Authority and the Director can't give jobs that aren't part of the Aviation Security Service to people in that service unless the Minister says it's okay in writing first.

The Authority and the Director also can't give jobs that are part of the Aviation Security Service to people outside that service unless the Minister says it's okay in writing first.

The General Manager can't give Aviation Security Service jobs to any Authority workers who aren't in the Aviation Security Service unless the Minister says it's okay in writing first.

These rules apply even though there are other parts of the law that say the Authority and Director can give away their jobs.
