Civil Aviation Act 1990

Rules

29B: Rules for noise abatement purposes

You could also call this:

"Rules about how planes fly to make less noise near airports"

The Minister can make rules about how planes should fly near airports to reduce noise. These rules can include things like what paths planes should follow, how high they should fly, and how they should operate.

The Minister can set these rules without needing any extra permission. These rules are called ordinary rules and they are a type of law. You can find information about how these rules are published in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
