53: Contravention of emergency rule, prohibition, or condition

53Contravention of emergency rule, prohibition, or condition

  1. Every person who, without reasonable excuse, acts in contravention of or fails to comply with any emergency rule made under section 31 or any prohibition or condition notified under section 21 commits an offence and is liable on conviction,—

  2. in the case of an individual, to a fine not exceeding $5,000; or
    1. in the case of a body corporate, to a fine not exceeding $30,000.
